If you noticed, I have set the feedback forum in the forums to moderated. That means I haev to approve everyone's posts before they are public. This is because of spam, mostly because I have that forum open to guests for posting. Fear not, however, if you have something important to say about this anime and cartoon music radio station of ours, or its services, you can still post to the forum, Forum members can post freely. It is just guest users who need staff approval.

Anime and cartoon radio is a funny thing. On the animation side, the market varies widely. On the radio side you got teh music industry to play with. At least the music lincesing debates in Washington are going as well as can be.
This week a Congressional commitee is having a hearing on radio licening. Though initially, it was meant for broadcast terretial radio, most of the talks revolved round internet radio, which is a good thing. That means thing smight be turning around, and this anime and cartoon music radio station of ours may make it through after all. We just need the funding to keep our servers running.
I mentioned eaalier today that we lost eh high band server. This is because of finaicial issues on my part. I m working on it, in the form of getting a second job, but it may take time to fix. In teh meantime, we will have to do with teh one server. It id set to 24k mono to accomondate the modemand cell phone listeners. If you like your music in higher bitrates, sorry for the inconvienece. This is all I can do to keep this anime animation music radio broadcast running.
I will try to get things resolved as soon as I can.

I am creating a video service called Toon Radio Video. For now, it will just be commercials for Toon Radio, as well as rants and stuff from me. In the future, Toon Radio Video may upload episodes and trailers for animated television series and movies, and other fun stuff.
I will be making the website for it tomorrow.

SD ComicCon is this weekend. Too bad I won't be able to make it. Traveling to the other side of the continent for an anime / cartoon convention isn't feasible yet. Hopefully, things will be different next year.

[From Toon Zone] Cartoon Network has begun development on three movies based on comic books. Firebreather will be based on the comic book by Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn, about a half-human, half-dragon teenager trying to fit in at high school and fulfill his destiny to protect the Earth. Mice Templar will be based on the comic book by Michael Avon Oeming and Bryan Glass, and will focus on the adventures of Karic, a young mouse attempting to reunite the disbanded order of the Mice Templar. Finally, The Vanishers is based on Chuck Dixon's comic book about the time-traveling adventures of a pair of fifth graders named Andy and Arvis.
Source.
I will check these out. The Vanishers will be live action, though. I would prefer them to be all animated.

It has been awhile since I did a real blog here. I am working on ways to do more, such as writing several blogs at once and uploading them as they are completed. The problem is that I rarely have something to say, and that keeps my blog space blank. I now have four blog places: MySpace, our MySpace Music page, FaceBook, and here. For the time being, I will post my blogs on all these sites, until I get more topics. My personal MySpace page was meant to be for my live show, so you may see more there once we get going. For now, I am just going to write about the website, music, and blogging.
For music, I have uploaded enough anime music to hold the webcast for awhile. This means I can concentrate on obtaining American and other non-Japanese music. This is supposed to be a general animation website, and that is what it is going to be. This does not mean I will not upload more anime. I will, but I will do it only by request. There is too many anime series and films out there for me to find, tag, and upload to SAM. If you want something, ask, but I am done with anime for now. I am open to which American cartoons you want represented, though.
Since we got the music, now we need a website to go with it.
The current launch page needs to be rewritten. I would remove it and just use our LoudCity page, but I need some features of the launch page that cannot be replicated, such as the special java player.
The rest of the site is done. The only thing I need to do is add a mailing list and webpage. I should have that up shortly. I also have to blog, as I mentioned earlier. The rest of the site is done. I may change the design, if needed, but that's it.
Speaking of mailing lists: The Toon Radio mailing list will be about the site, its programming, and topic related to anime and cartoon music. I have my own listserv server, so you know your email address and info will be safe.
Finally, I did mentioned a MySpace Music page. This will be our download page. I will be uploading our promos, station IDs, and jingles soon, as well add more as we make them. I believe this is the best use of our music page given the restriction on the social networking site.
And that's it for now. I will be posting a lot more blogs as I get used to them. In the meantime, enjoy the music.

I just uploaded the Animaniacs soundtrack to the playlist. Now you can request Yakko, Wakko, and Dot and friends to do their thing, right here on Toon Radio.
FYI: We also have Disney's Greatest Hits, Pocahontos, Mulan, Anastasia, Cats Don't Dance, Ben 10, and a few other American soundtracks. Right now, I am currently working on Justice League and Avatar.

A recent post to the forums has questioned Toon Radio's format. Since I never considered a difference between animation from Japan, the United States, Canada, etc., I never put much thought in separating them. Toon Radio's format is based on the format from the old Toonami Radio from the Toonami Digital Arsenal. Toonami Radio was a mixture of American and Japanese music with some techno and Toonami promo clips for some flavor. Toon Radio does the same, but without the Toonami promos. I do, however, have plans to add more American soundtracks. I will try to stay recent, and get soundtracks from series that are on television today, but that doesn't mean I won't add others. In the meantime, you can make requests. Our music plays based on how popular they are. They more often a song is requested, the more often the song will play, even if there is no request. If we don't have something, ask for it. We rarely get requests for American music, and we don't have the budget to get everything. Thus, I usually get anime. If you want somthing else, you have to ask for it.
